100,000 Flyers, One Phone Call: Why Every Email Needs a Special Offer

Some people assume that email is an old marketing tool and no one opens an advertising email. However, if you follow smart marketing rules, email can be one of the most effective and low-cost tools.

Prepare suitable content for the email, either through the company's team or through private content-providing companies. The email content must be in accordance with the content on social media, on the website and in the catalog. By following the standards, prevent your email from moving into the spam folder. It must be small in size, without multiple attachments. Using too many photos makes an email end up in spam.

When you just send a text with ordinary phrasing and a common greeting, and your email lacks any visual attraction, the audience will not read it. Therefore, design an appealing email and delegate the design to professionals. Consider how the email is viewed on mobile and on a computer screen, and select carefully where the slogan, the ads and the news are put. The audience must directly notice the main topic and immediately realize why they have received this email. Right after opening it, they must realize that you own a venue and that you are introducing yourself and inviting them to hold an event.

Choose a subject that is not misleading and is clearly related to the content. Otherwise, the audience will not open your emails next time. When your audience is companies, each individual decides whether to open an email based on the subject, so the marketing team must have thought of everything. Mention your phone number, email address, website address and venue address.

Link your email to a webpage related to the email subject. If the link directs the audience to the homepage, they have to search to find the corresponding page, and you lose a great part of your audience.

Provide a special offer in the email. A special offer does not always mean a discount. It can include interesting services that others cannot provide, such as free refreshments for events during a certain period or on a special occasion.

Some years ago, I distributed 100000 advertising flyers for a project through a contractor company, and I received only one phone call. I contacted the contractor company and protested, and even accused them of not distributing the flyers. In the middle of my discussion, that company's manager gave me an informative tip: "Why did you think they would call you when you don't have a special offer in your flyer?"

The marketing and development team must mark the various occasions of the year on their calendar and make a plan for using each one. Occasions show your respect for the target market's traditions and create a habit of receiving gifts from you, so the customer will not forget you. Be aware of vital occasions for embassies and congratulate them in special ways.
