Import and Export Are Easy in Canada

In Canada, the process of import and export is not complicated at all. To facilitate the whole thing, you can work with the two following groups of companies:

Clearance companies

Big transportation companies These companies often conduct for you a part of legal processes as well. The customhouse is open 24/7. The first time I went there, I didn’t know much about the process and the whole thing didn’t take longer than half an hour; they told me to deliver the shipment the next day by myself. All depots are connected to the customhouse through a computer network. This makes the whole process seamless to some extent.

Only if the country of origin for these commodities is suspicious, will there be a quick examination. It is due to such convenient work processes that some countries such as Canada are economically flourishing.

The required documents include information of the sender, inventory and price of commodities, and in some cases, a quality assurance certification. When going to the customhouse, you sit in front of a computer and find out your customs tariff. Depending on the type of commodity, the tariff is something between zero to higher prices.

In Canada, you must keep all the accounting and import/export documents for six years. Trust is the defining element in Canada, but if the customs becomes suspicious of for any kind of reason, they come to you and inspect the documents again.
