Why the Book Doesn't Give the Details of Illegal Ways to Make Money

Dave took a deep breath, letting his radio voice return. “And we're back with Steve Lowe, local author, local businessman, and local boy making good. Let's go to the phone lines and see what people want to ask.”

Dave pushed one of the flashing buttons on his console. “Hello, you're on the air with Big Dave! What have ya got to say?”

“Hey, Steve, can I call you Steve?” the caller asked.

“Sure, no problem,” Steve shrugged to Dave and waited.

“I'm curious, man. You got this whole section in your book about illegal ways to make money, but you don't give the details. How come?” the caller asked with a suspicious voice.

Steve leaned into the microphone. “Well, because I don't think you should be making your money that way. As my friend Greg says, it's like in that old show MacGyver. They never showed all of the details of how he did things. They didn't want kids to try and do them.”

The caller’s voice turned angry and he said, “Oh, so, we're the ‘kids,’ huh? And you're going to decide what we should and should not do! Man, that's un-American.”

Stunned, Steve asked, “Are you serious? It's un-American to keep someone from breaking the law?”

Dave sensed a problem with the caller and jumped into the conversation. “Yeah, I'm with you, Steve. Dude, you need to get your head on straight. Let's take another caller.” Dave pressed a few buttons on his console again and said, “Yo, you're on the air with Dave! What you got to say?”
