"You Should Write a Book": How the Book Began

“My kind of man! You know, Steve. This may not be the best time to mention it, but I'm the sort of person who likes to strike while the iron is hot,” Hillary announced.

“No, no,” she said laughing. “You've got a ton of stories about successful ways of making money, as well as ones that don't work. Anyone looking to make money - anyone who wants to make a million - would love to read about that. I'm thinking it's got real potential. You should write a book, and then I'll publish it,” Hillary offered.

“Really, a book? Wow, that's a great idea!” Steve was surprised, though pleased, at the idea. He rolled out of bed so fast that Hillary was caught by surprise. He jumped to his feet, his feet landing on the floor, and moved to a nearby desk.

“Slow down, tiger. I'll have a contract drawn up tomorrow, and we can sign everything right and proper.”

“Oh, okay. Sorry. I was just excited about getting started.”

Hillary looked at her watch. “Yes, I know, you're just full of excitement over...all kinds of things.”

“Thanks for understanding. You got paper somewhere?” Steve asked, eager to get started on his newly proposed book.

“Living room. Why don't we-?” Hillary started.

“Thanks,” Steve said, bolting for the door. He exited the room. Hillary got to her feet. “Yeah, full of excitement, alright. Ah, gotta love that boy!”
