Back From the Prehistoric Forest, Tom Tells His Story
Tom up to this time was quiet and waiting for Nicole's reaction, smiled and said: "well,"
He made a short pause and started saying in a childish manner.
"The experiment No 7. was concluded. And an endless tube that twisted like a spring, appeared. I put my feet on the edge of the cylinder and after some moments the cylinder cleared and I found myself in a forest, the very tall trees had their horror shades on the ground and some what darkness caused. Some paces farther, several feathers left, I took them. I got a stone too and was back to my first position to leave there. But I stood in a wrong place; this is why I could not be back. I paced back and forth and suddenly a sound heard on the leaves made me motionless. I could not turn, came back to the sound. In the darkness, a giant black creature was advancing. Can you guess what it was?"
He kept quiet for a moment, while surprised, gulped down his saliva loudly and continued:
"A giant ant, I mean, it was like an ant."
"It is wonderful? Isn't it?" asked Tom while looking at Nicole surprisingly.
He continued without having Nicole's reply:
"All my body limbs became numb for fear. I lost my balance and fell down. I called you but my voice changed to a horn's sound, spread high and low terribly and the giant went back. I was frightened out of my wits, moved a little and again fell into the cylinder while finding myself in the room."
"When I came out, I saw those troops, I guessed I was sent to somewhere else like our home, but I found that it was not a wrong place." said he smilingly while having a kidding and peace in his voice, screwed up his eyes.
