Community Centers and Charity Work as Free Marketing

There are cultural centers all over the world. Pay a visit to these places regularly. You don't need to pay to do so. Check what kind of people you can work with there and where you can put your flyers and visiting cards. Identify where people gather and introduce yourself through a one-minute presentation. In Canada, there are places called welcome centers for people who have recently entered the country. An example is the Iranian Community Center. These places can be a spot for you to introduce your business.

Many years ago, I remember that there were lots of people standing in the street leading to the Company Registration Office, and they would hand out their visiting cards to passers-by, asking them to refer to them if they intended to register a company. What kind of business has a lower cost than this one?! Even if you have hired people to do this for you, it is still considered a low budget advertisement. You get the most feedback by spending a low budget, because the most relevant target market is accessible in such places.

Work with charity organizations as a volunteer. In this case, you are doing something good for improving the conditions in your society, and at the same time you see various people and can introduce your business to them using a one-minute presentation. Not only is it a no-budget method for marketing, introducing and advertising your business, but working with charity organizations is also a social capital for you and increases your credibility and your interpersonal relationships.

By volunteering, by giving to charity or by becoming a member in a charity group or social organization, you get access to people, which wasn't easily possible for you before. Through that you will be able to get more leads, link with prospective clients and eventually close more sales.
